From council estate to comedy and entertainment king, Lee Nelson “COMEDY GENIUS” The Mirror, is the star of hit shows Well Good Show and Well Funny People. With five sell out tours to date and a host of appearances on Live at the Apollo, Lee Nelson is one of the biggest stand-up stars in the country.
Lee Nelson was created by Simon Brodkin who, along with also appearing as Premier League superstar Jason Bent and dodgy medical practitioner Dr Bob, is the world’s best-known prankster as shown in his Channel 4 documentary Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer.
To date targets have included: Sepp Blatter, Kanye West, Manchester City, Donald Trump, Philip Green and most recently Theresa May.
Supporting Lee will be the extremely talented Tony Vino “Uplifting style, great delivery and consistently funny throughout”.
Sam Walker, BBC Manchester . Tony Vino is the only half Spanish, half Scottish hybrid working comic in the world.
Born in Malaga he was subsequently raised in the Costa Del Preston, Lancashire.
Tony is best known for the way he seamlessly mixes well thought out observational humour with audience interaction and quick witted responses.
His life and interests are wide ranging, and so is his material, all performed in a warm, friendly and non-offensive style.
Also on the bill is the very funny Samantha Day. Despite being relatively new to the scene, Samantha will deliver a warm and engaging set that guarantees to have the audience hanging on her every word.
Compere for the evening will be the CrazyBird Comedy Club resident MC, Geoff Whiting. ‘One of Britain’s funniest men’. The Radio Times.
Geoff, who is no stranger to Stroud, is an accomplished and vastly experienced comedian in his own right.
He has made regular appearances on TV and radio, as well as being an excellent TV warm up having cut his teeth on a series of BBC’s Shooting Stars.
