Thomas Saves Christmas

A Christmas Story with music

Written by local authors Katie Fforde and Jane Gordon-Cumming and narrated by BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Dominic Cotter. With music from the Thames Head Singers, Directed by Andrew Hopwood.

A unique and enchanting evening featuring a specially written story about Thomas the Tank Engine – a festive treat with a difference that all ages will enjoy.

Stroud’s Thames Head Singers will perform a variety of festive and ‘locomotive’ songs including a very special adaptation of Chattanooga Choo-Choo with new words by Jane Gordon-Cumming and arranged by Musical Director, Andrew Hopwood.

There will also be opportunities for the audience to join in with traditional Christmas carols in the time-honoured fashion!

Seasonal refreshments will be served during the interval.

Thomas the Tank Engine has a very special place in the heart of Rodborough Residents.

Thomas’s creator, the Reverend Awdry, was a frequent preacher at the church during his long retirement in the parish.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Rodborough Church to fund major repairs and upkeep.

Parking will be available at Stroud Rugby Club with a free shuttle bus to the church (parking near the church is extremely limited).
