We are absolutely THRILLED to announce that from the 3rd December we are opening our beautiful building to the public!

Not only can we welcome people to (finally!) see and experience the Jack Wimperis’ masterpiece that is Everything Is Light, but you can start (or finish, depending on how organised you are), your Christmas shopping with some t-shirts, mugs or badges from People’s Republic of Stroud, or stock up on Christmas cards for your friends and family to enjoy whilst supporting our local charities.

If you have already purchased your tickets for the exhibition, we will be in touch to rearrange your slot – if you’d rather give us a call on 01453 796880 when you have a spare 5 minutes, that’s fine too!

Regardless of which tier we are allocated, we are rigorous with our efforts to keep you all as safe as we possibly can. Everything Is Light is designed to be COVID-safe.

Everyone will be in bubbles of 6 people (maximum), temperatures will be taken on arrival, and we’ll ask everyone to wear a mask (please let us know if you have a medical reason not to wear one) – there’ll also be plenty of hand sanitiser stations for you to use, and a rigorous cleaning protocol in place too. Our fully-trained staff will also be on hand to answer any questions that pop up.

As well as Everything Is Light, we have a fantastic photography exhibition ‘Along the Tow Path’  in the George Room for you to wander through after you’ve experienced the magic upstairs.

WAIT, THERE’S MORE! In addition to this exciting news, we are still hosting lots of incredible GLOBAL live-streams from Everything Is Light in the evenings. Check out the video from our Jazz Stroud performances last weekend on Facebook for a taste of just how brilliant they are. We’ve literally created a TV studio, complete with an actual production gallery, 7 cameras, a director, floor manager, and cameramen. This is a fab way to not only keep our viewers entertained from the comfort of their homes, but also helps to bring income to our well-loved artists. In return, we ask for a small donation in order to pay our performers and continue spreading light and jobs in the run up to Christmas. We’ve got some VERY funny, entertaining and original shows in the making here, so don’t miss out! Keep an eye on our socials, website and your inbox (check your junk) for updates.

With a sigh of joyous relief – welcome back to The Subs!
