Improv Classes with Rebecca MacMillan

Comedy + Classes & Workshops
Improv Classes with Rebecca MacMillan

Powerfully creative, intensely playful and highly enjoyable, improv is comedy and theatre with no script, where anything can happen. Improv can increase your confidence, unleash creativity, hone performance skills and be great fun. These drop in session are suitable for everyone. You don’t need to feel quick, clever or funny, or have previous experience. Come as you are.

Each week will feature warm-ups, some short form comedy games, like Whose Line is it Anyway, and some long form elements - in the vein of Middleditch & Schwartz or Fringe based improv shows.
Classes are led by Rebecca MacMillan, who has been teaching and performing improv with the likes of Impromptu Shakespeare, The Maydays & Closer Each Day for 16 years. We will occasionally have guest teachers who will focus on a specific aspect of their improv expertise.

Please book in advance to guarantee a place, though there will be a few tickets available on the door.

These classes run weekly during term time. There will be no class on the 26th October. Some weeks we shift to a nearby alternative venue when there's fabulous music events in the building, including 16 & 30 Nov and 7 & 14 Dec. Please see http://www.stroudimprov.com for details of where we will be.
