A BAFTA award winner, Normal co-wrote Mrs Merton and The Royle Family, as well as working with Steve Coogan on live shows, TV and even a feature film – not to mention executive producing Gavin and Stacey, The Mighty Boosh, Red Dwarf and Alan Partridge.
Lemn Sissay
A memoirist performer and broadcaster he has read on stage from London Palladium to The Library of Congress in The United States, Addis Ababa, and the Opera House of Dubai. He was awarded The Pen Pinter Prize in 2019 when his memoir ‘My name Is Why’ reached number one in The Sunday Times bestseller list. His television documentaries have been nominated for Griersons BAFTA and RTS awards and his work in radio for Sony and Palm D’Ors.
An Honorary Professor at The University of Manchester, Visiting Fellow at Jesus College Cambridge and Honorary Bencher of The Inner Temple
His poems are often part of BBC Proms including Advice For The Living and ‘Spark Catchers’ which became the most viewed concert in the history of the BBC Proms.
