Stroud film society presents: Limbo

Set against the bleak windswept landscape of a remote Scottish island, a group of new refugees await the results of their asylum claims. It is a darkly comic and heart warming story that centres on Omar, a young Syrian musician who has carried his grandfather's Oud all the way from his homeland. The audience is inevitably taken to some difficult places but with an amazingly light and affectionate touch. A delightful film showing the hopes and hardships of the refugee experience. Ben Sharrock won the British Independent film award for breakthrough producer and The Golden Pyramid for Best film.
