The Sub Rooms is a vital community hub, Stroud’s home for creativity, music and joy

It is a place for all people at all stages of their lives. It is a unique venue providing an innovative programme of music, dance, theatre, visual arts, spoken word, exhibitions and workshops. It is a vibrant public space that enables everyone to come together to form a community.

We provide an enhanced and varied programme of arts events and experiences that take place in a community-focused accessible venue with well-appointed flexible performance spaces and welcoming bar and cafe facilities.

The Subscription Rooms were originally built by public subscription and sit physically and culturally at the heart of the town. Maintaining and acknowledging this sense of community ownership is key to our success – and we invite everyone to come and be part of our journey.
