Event & Box Office Supervisor

37.5hrs / Mon - Fri 9am-5pm (flexible) + 1 Saturday a month (day off in week in lieu)

£25,525.50 per annum

Holiday entitlement 21 days per annum

Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Box Office Supervisor & Event Assistant to join our team at The Sub Rooms. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of events, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.

Duties include

- Assist in the planning and coordination of events held at The Sub Rooms.
- Provide outstanding guest services to ensure a positive experience for all attendees
- Support the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all equipment is in place
- Communicate effectively with team members and event organizers to meet specific needs
- Assisting in general office administration
- Train & supervise Box Office Assistants
- Troubleshoot box office equipment, including ticket printers, card machines, and scanners
- Manage allocations for external ticketing agencies
- Checking, forwarding to the relevant person or responding to emails from the room hire enquiries inbox
- Listing venue events on external websites
- Contribute to maintaining & updating Sub Rooms website
- Contribute to maintaining & updating social media platforms
- Collate information for what's on brochures
- Coordinating the distribution of external marketing materials
- Attend weekly marketing meetings with Marketing team and Venue Manager
- Any other duties as would be expected by the management team

Desirable skills and knowledge

- Organisational skills to assist in event planning and execution
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous Box Office experience desirable
- Ability to prioritise workload to ensure that events and marketing responsibilities are fulfilled when working within a busy team environment
- Efficient and calm when working under pressure on a variety of tasks simultaneously, to tight deadlines
- Ability to solve problems constructively and propose practical ways ahead when faced with difficulties
- Ability to absorb, analyse and impart information quickly
- Sharp focus on attention to detail and ensuring technical accuracy when updating documents, both online and offline
- An understanding of marketing and events management tools such as Dot Digital, Spektrix & Artifax
- Proficiency in MS packages

- Ability to work well independently and to contribute as part of a team, with a supportive attitude to colleagues

All of these roles are on a zero hour contract so you can work as much or as little as you like, making it ideal for students, parents or anyone looking for part time work to fit around their schedule.
