We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore and enjoy what we have to offer here at the Subs – and with the kind support of Donors and Members we are able to do this.
‘Subs in the Community’ is our initiative that opens doors, inspires, brings joy, and opens pathways to skills and jobs.
Schools and Colleges
With creativity and culture struggling to find a place on the busy school curriculum, we are working with schools and colleges to create additional opportunities for young people to come and be inspired by what we are doing here and gain additional work or volunteering experience with us – and maybe consider a career in the creative industries.
We offer inspirational learning visits, music tech opportunities, and special performances for our shows, including for schools and colleges supporting those with disabilities.
Community Tickets
We want to open our doors to as many people as possible, so every year we give away tickets to our local partner organisations, including Nelson Trust, Stroud Women’s Refuge, Allsorts and St Roses’ school, as well as our local food and community hubs. This includes tickets to our annual fabulous pantomime and other family shows. “Our visit to The Subs panto last year was such a happy occasion and brilliant chance to get away from things and help focus on positives.”
Jam's Jam
Jam is one of the best technicians in the industry and he and his team are responsible for the outstanding experience we provide to our artists and performers. He shares his love of making music with others in our free monthly jamming sessions that support budding musicians or enthusiasts to develop their skills and confidence in performing or the thrill of playing with others. Click here to find out the date of the next session. Instruments provided.
Tickets for All
Our Tickets for All initiative makes tickets available across our excellent programme at £5 a head to those who might otherwise struggle to share in the pleasure of live music. This year we have been able to make around 500 tickets available at this price. These are available through our hard-working food/community hubs as well as local charities, and are also supported by your generous ‘Pay it Forward’ donations.
Community Events Ticketing
If you're hosting an event in the community, we can sell your tickets for you. They'll be included on the What's On page of our website, giving your guests an easy and secure way to purchase tickets.
To submit an event and for full T&Cs please see the form here.
