Box Office Supervisor (Part-time casual hours, hours negotiable)
Salary up to £13.91 per hour

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service, and an expert understanding and hands-on approach to maximising income in an events based building.
About You
To join us as the Sales & Box Office Supervisor, you’ll need:
- Experience in a supervisory role within the sales industry
- Experience in using a Box Office system particularly Spektrix (desirable)
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff members
- Able to work flexible and unsocial hours including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays
- Familiar with Microsoft packages such as Excel and Office
- Be open, adaptable and positive with a hands-on approach to all tasks as well as being an efficient and effective problem solver
- Have strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise a complex workload by utilising excellent organisational skills
- Appreciate the importance of maximising commercial income in a not-for-profit organisation
- Have a passion and interest in contemporary culture, particularly in music, theatre, dance, and comedy.
The Role
As the Sales & Box Office Supervisor, you will provide support to the Director, Senior Management Team, Trustees and other departments across the organisation.
Joining the Sub Rooms team, you will:
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly tasks are undertaken by relevant member of the box office team – e.g. weekly box office returns, purchasing of merchandise, Spektrix cleaning, database duplicate reporting
- Liaise with merchandise suppliers, put stock on system and generate reports for monthly payments
- Maintain Box Office system and stay up to date on latest versions and improvements
- Supervising, training and keeping Box Office Assistants informed of developments, planned activities and events
- Data entry and updating of all events and activities onto Spektrix
- Oversee data capture, offering support to box office assistants and ensuring that targets are met
- Ensure that Gift Aid declarations are up to date and submit claims
- Work with the Venue Manager to ensure that the box office assistants deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist Box Office Assistants with customer complaints, as and when required.
- Act as duty supervisor for the building, including some weekend and evening hours as required
- Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably requested to ensure the smooth running of The Sub Rooms.
