We have a number of pathways into performing at The Sub Rooms which we have been thrilled to see many local artists & bands make use of as they follow their passion.
From the casual & fully open Jam's Jam, to the yearly Sounds of Stroud showcase, to the summer fun of Stroud Beer Festival and, of course, year round support slot opportunities - we will always encourage people to get involved with what we do here.

Pebble Daisy first took to our stage in 2024 after applying to perform at The Sounds of Stroud. Since wowing the crowd with a stripped-back duet performance for her debut, she has returned a further three times. Pebble was selected as the first ever Sub Rooms artist in residence and it has been amazing to watch her sound, style and stagecraft elevate. 🦇
Dryadic's Sounds of Stroud debut came in 2025 and it was a show they came away from as one of the stand-out performances. Their plush, contemporary folk, irresistible chemistry and instrumental mastery made fans of all those present. It has been our pleasure to welcome Zora and co back a further three times since then. 🎻
@amymooremusic took on the formidable test of opening the show when she successfully applied to perform at The Sounds of Stroud 2025. Her warm and charismatic stage presence is matched by her soulful Americana sound which win over audiences every time she graces the stage. 🌞
Jodie O first took to The Sub Rooms stage back in 2023 and caught attention with her captivating indie-folk. Enrolling with Gloucester based The Music Works' Upsurge scheme, she next returned to us in 2026 for their showcase evening. Her performance was fantastic and saw her secure a slot supporting KT Tunstall as well as a spot at Stroud Beer Festival 2026. 🎸
