These Newly Announced 2027 Gigs at The Sub Rooms are Massive!

Stroud Blues & Soul Sessions

Next May, we’ll be welcoming an incredible bunch of artists for a whole weekend of Blues and Soul music here in Stroud, this will be the first edition of the Blues & Soul Sessions.

We’ve been so lucky to already be welcoming two artists who we feel are way beyond performing in our lovely but humble venue, this also comes with the benefit of these evenings being more of an intimate evening with the artists. As a not-for-profit charity, this is an incredible privilege, and we’d love for you to join us for a weekend filled with beautiful music.

With two artists announced already and a whole host more to come, we’re really excited, make sure to look out for more announcements!

Jools Holland

Can you believe that by just eight years old, Julian Miles Holland could play the piano fluently by ear? Now we know him as the incredible Jools Holland OBE DL and we can’t quite believe that he’s coming to The Sub Rooms as part of our first Blues & Soul Sessions.

Back in 1987, he formed The Jools Holland Big Band which has changed and grown over the years into the now 19-piece Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, for three decades they have toured annually. The evening will also feature Ruby Turner, the Boogie Woogie Queen, Louise Marshall and Sumudu Jayatilaka, we already can’t wait to experience an evening of all these extraordinary people.

We are sure this will be an unforgettable night, don’t miss out on tickets, they’re sure to sell out.
