Our main priority as we gradually reopen the Subs is your safety. Here are a few things we are doing to make sure you feel comfortable when returning to the Subs:

Masks

It is not a requirement for customers to wear masks whilst in the building, however, we would recommend that they do so.  Staff members will continue to wear masks during events.

Hand Sanitising

We would request that all customers use the hand sanitising station at the entrance to the building upon arrival.

NHS Covid App

QR code posters are available on entry to the building.

Fresh Air Circulation

We will keep doors and windows open whenever possible and safe to do so.  We also have an air conditioning system in the ballroom that draws in fresh air from outside.

Toilets

We would ask that customers respect the signs on toilet doors limiting numbers using the toilets at any one time.

Creating more space

We are currently undergoing a project to open the ‘piano bridge’ so there is a wide, direct link between our fabulous new bar and the ballroom.

The Sub Rooms is a hub, Stroud’s home for creativity and joy.

It is a place for all people at all stages of their lives. It is a unique venue providing an innovative programme of music, dance, theatre, visual arts, spoken word, exhibitions and workshops. It is a vibrant public space that enables everyone to come together to form a community.

We provide an enhanced and varied programme of arts events and experiences that take place in a community-focused accessible venue with well-appointed flexible performance spaces and welcoming bar and cafe facilities.

The Subscription Rooms were originally built by public subscription and sit physically and culturally at the heart of the town. Maintaining and acknowledging this sense of community ownership is key to our success – and we invite everyone to come and be part of our journey.
