Volunteer Vacancies
Volunteer for our Re-opening!
We need volunteers to join our friendly team and help us with our very special re-opening exhibition in October and November
Can you spare a few hours on weekdays or Saturdays – during the day or evenings – or help us more regularly? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We are particularly looking for volunteers who can help us front of house – welcoming and directing visitors, but if you would prefer to help in the café, bar, office or other areas, please get in touch.
Please fill in the short form here or contact Heather, Volunteer Coordinator, directly at heather@thesubrooms.co.uk
Thank you for your support and we look forward to hearing from you!

Volunteering at The Sub Rooms
Our volunteers will come from all walks of life, will be a variety of ages and will have a variety of skills but they are all integral to the running of The Sub Rooms.
Some of our volunteers will help regularly each week while others will just volunteer every now and then. Whatever your availability we will work out a plan that works for you.
Some of our volunteers will have specialist skills that they are able to share with us, working alongside our employed team to enable us to achieve even more, such as fundraising or marketing experience. Other volunteers may have superb skills at organising events and can throw parties which are the talk of the town.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have specific skills, as you have a great personality, you will fit right in. A friendly smile, a reliable attitude and a desire to be part of the team is really all that we are looking for. We will give you the training and everything you need to be able to be an effective part of the team. Roles may include acting as an event team member during performances, conducting audience surveys or simply being there to welcome people into the building.
All you need is a little free time, and we’ll do the rest.
Get in touch now – we’d love to hear from you! Contact heather@thesubrooms.co.uk or find out more on our vacancies page
