Hungarian Wines
curated by Stroud Wine Company
Wine has been made in Hungary since it was part of the Roman Empire and it remains one of Europe’s most fascinating wine regions. From the classics to the new wave, this tasting is a tour from Tokaj on the Ukranian border, through the wines grown around the thermal springs of Eger in the north, known as ‘little Burgundy’ and on to the dark, heavy reds of Szekszárd in the South West. You will be tasting wines from small, sustainable, family vineyards, that truly demonstrate how good the wines of central Europe can be.
