Celebrated novelist Katie Fforde has lived in Stroud since the early 1980s and many of her bestselling books have been inspired by Stroud people and Stroud places. Her most recent bestseller is A Cottage in the Country.
Mark Cummings presented the breakfast show on BBC Radio Gloucestershire for 18 years and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the county. From our town’s rebellious spirit to the healing powers of our Five Valleys, his second book More Adventures in Glorious Gloucestershire is full of Stroud spirit.
Join Katie and Mark as they delve into all the reasons they love Stroud. Katie will also give us an exclusive sneak preview of her new novel Made With Love. Out in January 2027, it was partly inspired by Stroud institution, Salt Bakehouse.
