"We're absolutely delighted to welcome the exceptional Megan Henwood as special guest on this autumn's Winter Yards Band tour.
Many of you will remember Megan from touring with Show of Hands some years ago. Her poetic, beautifully observed songs, distinctive guitar playing and powerful, expressive voice made a lasting impression, and she's since established herself as one of the country's finest contemporary singer-songwriters.
Each evening Megan will begin with a spellbinding 35-minute set of her own, before returning to the stage later to become part of the band. Joining Steve, David Delarre, John Parker and Evan Carson, she'll add her voice, songs and musicianship to create an evening that promises to be far more than a headline act with a support.
The Winter Yards Band are all huge admirers of Megan's work, and the chemistry between these musicians has already been obvious in rehearsals. Expect collaborations, unexpected moments and the joy that comes when great artists share a stage simply because they love making music together.
This promises to be one of the highlights of the tour."
