Stroud Book Festival Launch Night: Artisan Stroud

Stroud Book Festival
Stroud Book Festival Launch Night: Artisan Stroud

For the opening night of Stroud Book Festival 2021 we are thrilled to host the launch of a book wholly inspired by the creativity and artistry that help make Stroud such a vibrant and stimulating place to live.

“Artisan Stroud” is a sumptuous celebration of 25 makers living in the Five Valleys who are engaged in creating beautiful and useful objects, works of art and creativity, in the long and noble tradition of making things by hand which stretches from Stroud’s Victorian cloth mills to the contemporary studios of today.

The author of this glorious coffee-table book, published by Cheltenham-based publisher The History Press, is Clare Honeyfield, award-winning business owner and coach.

Clare will be in conversation with three artisans profiled in her book, talking to them about their inspirations and their working methods. Before and after the event there will be a chance to view artworks by these and other makers profiled in “Artisan Stroud”.

And giving you an exciting chance to own artwork by one of these makers, we will be holding a silent auction, with all proceeds going to support Stroud Book Festival.

Venue: Subscription Rooms, Stroud
