Patchwork Stories: Workshop
Sita Brahmachari & Jane Ray
Every family has a story to tell, pieced together like a patchwork quilt. Each memory a stitch, each hope a thread….
Blending interactive storytelling, creative writing and art, we are delighted to offer this wonderful workshop from the author and illustrator team behind The Tale That Time Sews, Sita Brahmachari and Jane Ray. Inspired by their work at the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, their book is a lyrical, intergenerational story to inspire readers to trace golden threads of family, friendship and love through time.
During the workshop you’ll explore the Sita and Jane’s book and then, inspired by your own story, you’ll make a patchwork piece of art or threaded poem to hang on a golden thread.
All materials provided. 30 places only. Accompanying adults do not need to buy a ticket but must remain on the premises for the duration of the workshop if their child is under 14.
